Running for office isn't easy, but it's easier with a good team. I'm proud to be endorsed by dozens of leaders throughout our education community. They all agree it's time to raise standards in San José Unified.
One of those leaders is Anna Song, Vice President of the Santa Clara County Board of Education, a key partner with local districts in providing special education and other services to our most vulnerable students. Anna says —
I am proud to endorse Peter for San José Unified School District Trustee Area 2. Peter has a keen eye for equity, and he will work to bring more transparency and high standards to all of our schools.
I'm also humbled to have Fernando Zazueta on #TeamPA. Fernando's extensive resume of civic and community service includes helping to guide the planning and construction of San José's Mexican Heritage Plaza. He says —
Peter has spent the past seven years helping to revive Teatro Visión, a cultural institution serving Latinx/Chicanx youth in San José. I know he will work hard to ensure that all children have the opportunity to thrive.
One of my top priorities is student engagement. That's why I'm excited to have the support of Hazel Stange. A 2018 graduate of Lincoln High, Hazel is a student activist and champion of civic engagement. She says —
As a new voter, I’m excited to support Peter because he’s committed to involving students in key decisions that impact our schools and creating safe spaces for all students on our campuses.
Thank you for standing with me.
