With one week to go before the June 7th primary election, emotions are running hot — and so is the weather. But Memorial Day helped put things in perspective. No matter what the numbers say next Tuesday night, I'm proud of the hard work we've put in so far, and I know we're going to finish strong.
Over the past six months, we've received over 500 contributions from more than 400 donors giving an average of $118. By contrast, the other seven candidates in this race have combined to loan or give themselves nearly $175,000, with one candidate alone laying down $50,000.
But money isn't everything. We've backed up our grassroots fundraising effort with a robust field campaign that has collectively knocked on more than 10,000 doors and had one-on-one conversations with more than 3,000 voters in every neighborhood of District 6.
The race for a spot in the runoff could come down to a handful of votes, and the personal interactions we’re having could be the difference between moving on and going home.
Thank you again for joining me on this journey. I hope you'll continue to stand beside me as we near the finish line.
